About Us
The Maine Credit Union League is a nonprofit, professional trade association serving Maine’s credit unions. Founded in 1938, the League exists to help credit unions succeed and improve the financial well-being of the people they serve.
As the unified voice for Maine’s credit unions, the League delivers advocacy, education, and strategic resources that help institutions navigate change, strengthen operations, and meet the evolving needs of their members.
We serve as a trusted partner, working alongside credit unions to protect the credit union tax status, elevate the industry as an employer of choice, and advance the People Helping People philosophy through focused, measurable action. Membership investment directly supports this work and ensures a strong, coordinated voice for credit unions across the state.
Our commitment is straightforward: deliver meaningful results that strengthen credit unions, their members, and the communities they serve.
